Is it ever a good time to LOOK BACKWARDS? I’m going with yes but depends on your why. Perhaps it’s unfinished business, an opportunity not quite realised, I’d forgotten how much fun it was but now it’s gone. Are you feeling a sense of loss? We all know the saying you can’t join the dots until you look backwards. I am suggesting a few over-the-shoulder peaks can help. The ones that save a motorcyclist’s life when at the last microsecond he sees danger? Can these visual glimpses and emotional slices which gaze into a remembered past be a nudge or at least a way of guesstimating where the future could be going? The same way a guided missile hits its target by adjusting away from the wrong path and not by following a defined trajectory. Can this ability to see backwards offer a window to possible futures albeit a streaky view opaque by experience? So how would you look back? Maybe in anger as the song goes or perhaps as victims not wanting to relive. Is it a mature realisation that fundamentally all things are in our control and we either failed to or failed not to do. Our memories are notoriously unreliable, changing slightly with each recall and yet immeasurably powerful. A quick flash will offer (fill in the blank) about your perceived past. I am not considering vulnerable states where we ought to have sought out help or somebody should have intervened and it didn’t happen. This is a common story, a shameful situation that thankfully society is changing, becoming aware and culturally accepting of neurodiversity. I’m not going to think about it too much but I’m going with my core, my gut where a trillion little brains in my microbiome have offered up an emotional feeling and for me, it’s presented as unfinished business. This is my gut feeling and I’m trusting the tag team running my limbic cortex. What got in my way? I think I know but that’s not for today, what is, is that I am setting aside a version of the past and saying hello to unfinished business with a beginner’s mind. MISSILE LAUNCH IMMINENT

With eyebrows being such a prominent feature on our face, eyebrows can make or break your look. They can alter your face and nose shape and ultimately change your whole vibe. Men often understand the importance of their haircut and their beard, but can sometimes neglect the finer details when it comes to features like eyebrows.

A lot of men are embarrassed to get cosmetic care like eyebrow treatment done, but this should be a thing of the past! Again, this is a great way to avoid ingrown hairs and makes sure the hair stays at bay for the longest possible time. Threading gives incredibly accurate results – unlike waxing, it removes hairs on an individual basis and only removes hair, not any skin. This means the process causes less irritation to your skin.

Handy home tips for in between your Benito Brow visits

As we’ve talked about, it is definitely the best idea to get your eyebrows done professionally. However, we understand between visits you may need to give them some care yourself if you cannot get yourself to us for whatever reason. Here are some things to consider before you give your brows some TLC:

Before any eyebrow treatment, make sure you wash your face with warm water to relax hair follicles!
Plucking is a great way to keep those annoying strands of hair at bay between visits. When you pluck, make sure you don’t dig into your skin to grab the hair and cause irritation. Hold the skin taut, grab the base of the hair with the tweezer and gently pull. If you’re experiencing a lot of pain, this probably means you’re trying to pull out hair that isn’t ready yet. Give it a few more days and try again.
Snip snip! To cut those especially long rascals that are ruining your polished look, you can always trim them with some eyebrow scissors. Comb your eyebrows before snipping any hairs into shape.
Don’t forget to get those hairs in between your eyebrows! These can be the most noticeable as they’re hairs that don’t really look like they’re meant to be there (although the unibrow is actually making a bit of a comeback!).
After performing any treatment at home, make sure you wash your face and apply some facial moisturiser to reduce the risk of skin irritation and redness.
