How to overcome your fear of showing off your feet: grab yourself a well-deserved pedicure

Discover the treatment that lets you sit back, relax, and walk away with a spring in your step.

We all have insecurities and fears in our lives that cripple our confidence and can a lot of the time hold us back. It can be something as extreme as going skydiving to not feeling good enough in your own skin. For a lot of us, it is being too ashamed of our feet. We are constantly told to look after our skin, but never our feet. It is so easy to forget about them, we use them every single day and forget to give them the love we give our faces, hair, the list goes on

In an article by the NetDoctor, Dina Gohil, a top podiatrist in London states “perhaps the reason why people think their feet are hideous, or even the worst part of them is because they’re not exposed to them enough”.

In 2022, we must remember to prioritise our own happiness, and squash any insecurities or angst we hold against ourselves. And if you are not feeling 100% about your feet, it might be time to start treating yourself to a regular pedicure!

So, what is a pedicure?

A pedicure is essentially a manicure for your feet! It is a therapeutic treatment for your feet that removes dead skin, softens hard skin, and shapes and treats your toenails.

This treatment is suitable for both men and women and involves cutting, trimming, and shaping your toenails, tending to your cuticles, exfoliating, hydrating, and massaging your feet, and if desired, painting your toenails. Sounds dreamy, doesn’t it?

A pedicure helps clean and moisturise your feet and provides nail care. Getting a monthly pedicure is what we recommend as it is an effective way to detect early signs of corns and fungal infections, among other things.

Pedicures hold many different benefits such as preventing infections, promoting healthy blood circulation, boosting nail health, and reducing back pain. It can also make your feet look much younger!
